Student Support

Helping Students Stay the Course

Higher education can open new possibilities, but the journey is not always easy. LIPACE Student Support provides practical assistance and opportunities designed to help Liberian students continue their education and prepare for what comes next.

Currently, LIPACE is supporting eligible Liberian students studying in Rwanda, with the ambition to expand to other countries as resources and partnerships grow.

Built from Listening

A programme shaped with the students it serves

LIPACE Student Support grew from our engagement with Liberian students studying in Rwanda. Through those conversations, students shared challenges that can arise while pursuing higher education away from home, from financial pressures that can threaten their ability to remain in school to limited opportunities for practical work experience as they approach graduation.

Their experiences helped shape an approach focused on two critical points in the student journey: helping students stay in school when financial circumstances threaten their academic continuity, and helping graduating students prepare for the transition into professional life.

At its heart is the same principle that guides our wider work: lasting solutions are stronger when they are shaped with the people they are intended to serve.
