Every Learner Deserves the Opportunity to Succeed
We work with children, young people, families, schools, and communities to strengthen foundational learning and create more inclusive pathways to education, particularly for those who have been left behind.

But falling behind should not mean being left behind.
When the Foundations Are Missing, Learning Becomes Harder
Across Liberia, many children and young people face barriers that interrupt their education or prevent them from developing the literacy and numeracy skills they need to progress. For children in rural and underserved communities, poverty, distance, and limited learning opportunities can make returning to education even harder.
LIPACE works with communities to help children and young people rebuild foundational skills, regain confidence in learning, and move toward continued education.
We know that learning does not happen in isolation. Parents help children stay engaged. Communities understand the barriers families face. Local facilitators bring knowledge and relationships that matter. And evidence helps us understand what is working and where learners need more support.
Foundational skills
A pathway back to education.
LIPACE has worked to strengthen foundational learning and create pathways back to education for children and young people across Liberia.
Today, that commitment continues through initiatives such as the Second Chance program which helps out-of-school children build foundational skills and transition into formal education. Working alongside parents, community facilitators, and local leaders, we are helping children who have missed out on schooling find a pathway back to learning.
Communities at the Center of Learning
That is why we put communities at the center of our approach.
Rebuild Foundational Skills
Helping children who have fallen behind rebuild foundational skills, regain confidence in learning, and move toward continued education.
Work With the Whole Community
We know learning does not happen in isolation, parents help children stay engaged, communities understand the barriers families face, and local facilitators bring knowledge and relationships that matter.
Learn From What Works
Evidence helps us understand what is working and where learners need more support, so we can improve our own practice and contribute to stronger education systems.
Building stronger, more inclusive education systems
LIPACE continues to strengthen approaches that help children and young people access quality learning, recover missed opportunities, and participate more fully in education. We use what we learn from communities and programs to improve our own practice and contribute to stronger, more inclusive education systems.
